The best way to introduce myself is to let you know that I’ve had my real estate license since 2000, and in between then and now, I also have had a full, rewarding, career as a parent, and a public-school teacher in a working-class New Jersey town. Although people often tell me I have a New York accent, I am a native Spanish speaker, born in Cuba and raised in Manhattan until we moved to New Jersey when I was about to start high school. With my husband, I have owned our home in Montclair for more than four decades, yet in between we lived in two different countries, and I managed the relocation of our household, including our three kids and Lucy, our Cocker Spaniel, three times.
The way I handle my real estate demands also is anything but typical. I have listed homes that sold for over a million dollars, yet I’ve also helped clients buy their starter homes for less than $150,000. And I put myself fully and 100 percent into every transaction I handle. I see myself as more of a housing advocate than a real estate agent. When clients bring me on to work with them, I become fiercely devoted to seeing their dreams come through. In college, I majored in art (before getting a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Technology) but there’s nothing more beautiful to me than seeing the face of someone I’ve helped sell their home so they could embark on their next adventure. And few moments are more endearing than those where I present the keys to those whom I‘ve helped purchase their dream home. I can be a comforting hand holder, or a fierce competitor, depending on what my clients need. I can advise them like a sister, and negotiate like a shark. I am as dedicated now to my clients as I was then to my students.
I live by the saying that life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away. That's why, when the weather is nice, you can look for me to pull up in my white Mustang convertible!
