Kecia Von der Ahe is a Los Angeles native who moved to Westport in 2005 with her husband, three children, aged 7, 5 and 3, and a dog. Prior to leaving California, Kecia had a background in fashion and graphic design, where she developed her sharp eye for detail, and in sales. Through this experience, she gained her client service expertise.

Given her experience relocating, Kecia can easily identify with someone dealing with a major move and learning to navigate the wonderful town of Westport thereafter. She loves the small-town feel of Westport and enjoys discovering the town’s homes, open spaces, hidden treasures, and meeting new people.

Kecia believes everybody has a story, and she loves to learn about each client’s story and their goals.

A multi-time winner of Halstead Real Estate’s (Now Brown Harris Stevens) Gold Circle Award for reaching $7-10 million in sales and a member of the firm’s esteemed Sapphire Club, Kecia has demonstrated success in the Connecticut market, helping clients navigate large-scale transactions of all types. Her sharp business acumen helped earn her a Strategy Star Award, which is given to agents who showcase exemplary business strategies and utilize the many tools, resources, and expertise offered by Brown Harris Stevens to market and showcase properties.

An avid sailor and soccer mom extraordinaire, Kecia is heavily involved in her children’s school programs and has a deep culinary interest. She is also a former girl scout leader and dedicated philanthropist, having previously worked with The Women at Heart Committee at St. Vincent's Regina L. Cozza Center, a program designed especially for the unique cardiac needs of women, from diagnosis to education and treatment.

When she is not running around Fairfield County showing homes or negotiating deals, Kecia enjoys acrylic painting, baking sourdough bread, trying new recipes, and snowboarding in the winter or sailing in Mystic with her family during the warmer months.

Helen and Kecia are really a dream team when it comes to real estate. They not only walk the extra mile but they rather run the extra two miles. Seriously, they did an incredible job selling our house: making sure that we had perfect pictures, were listed in the NY Times, organized necessary open houses, finding solutions for potential buyers who wanted to have something special, and last but not least, organizing handymen to fix everything that had been noted in the inspection. Helen and Kecia always see the positive in things and never give up. I really enjoyed working with them and can only recommend them. – Martin M.
