In addition to over 20 years of Manhattan real estate brokerage experience, John Edwards brings a broad financial and legal background to Brown Harris Stevens.
His professional career started at the international public accounting firm Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte &Touche). John received his Juris Doctor in 1988. His law school education included the traditional study of property and contract law and advanced seminars for structuring and financing real estate transactions. John started his legal career in the corporate department of the New York based law firm of Kelley Drye & Warren and then at a boutique firm. His focus was primarily on corporate matters, including securities offerings, joint ventures and varied corporate transactions. He is admitted to both the New York and Connecticut Bars.
John successfully applies the same focus and attention to the proper detail from his financial and legal background to the purchase or sale of a cooperative, condominium or townhouse.
