In the midst of Hispanic Heritage Month, there is no better time to spotlight the vibrant and diverse Hispanic- and Latino-owned businesses throughout Miami. From family-owned eateries to luxury fashion boutiques, these entrepreneurs play an integral role in the Magic City's cultural and economic fabric.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, several Brown Harris Stevens Miami Agents have shed a light on just a few of their favorite Hispanic-owned local businesses.
Padrino's Cuban Cuisine
"Padrino’s is a third generation, family-owned local business with locations in Boca Raton, Dania Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale, and Plantation. They combine traditional Cuban flavors with a modern twist and are known for their exceptional service. The family has been serving the South Florida community with authentic cuban cuisine since 1976. I highly recommend it!" - Matt Huston
Pueblito Viejo
This Colombian spot is a go-to for locals and tourists alike, for its atmosphere and unbeatable dishes. Its combination of homestyle cooking and innovative plates make Pueblito Viejo one of Miami’s most frequented eateries.
Boteco
"As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, it's important to recognize the diverse cultures within the broader Latino community. While Brazilians are not technically considered Hispanic, they are an integral part of Latin American heritage. Two of my favorite spots reflect this diversity: Boteco where you can savor Brazilian bar food, live music, and a vibrant cultural atmosphere, and Sagrado Cafe, an upscale, relaxed environment ideal for meetings or a date. Both showcase the richness of Latin culture, contributing to the mosaic of experiences we honor this month." - Isaac De Castro
Miami Smile Design
"I’d like to spotlight Miami Smile Design, a local business owned by Carla Castillo, an inspiring Hispanic entrepreneur. In just three years, Carla has built a practice that has transformed countless smiles and continues to provide outstanding service to the community. Her journey reflects the hard work and determination that enriches our society. I think this would be a great addition to the list of Hispanic-owned businesses to support, and I’d love to be included in this initiative." - Cristina Menendez
