Since 2002, Liz has been highly engaged in the business of buying and selling residential real estate in lower Fairfield County. With experience both as a licensed real estate agent and a sales team leader, Liz has facilitated hundreds of real estate transactions from Greenwich to Westport, New Canaan, Rowayton, and of course, her hometown of Darien.
In today’s fast-moving and highly competitive environment, keeping a deal together can be as important as getting the best deal—and Liz excels at both. “Purchasing and selling properties requires multiple skills from pricing and marketing to negotiating and closing,” Liz says. “Managing the needs of all the players: first and foremost, the client, as well as the needs of cooperating agents, mortgage brokers, inspectors, appraisers, and attorneys, demands a keen command of the moving parts and excellent communications skills.”
Liz learned how to manage these moving parts early on, as Managing Editor of TV Guide (then the country’s highest-circulation magazine). Her clients benefit not only from this invaluable experience, but also from her varied expertise in real estate. For six years, she was a regional manager for multiple real estate offices, recruiting, training, and deal-doctoring for teams of agents. Now, having successfully returned to selling real estate herself, Liz is able to provide her clients with all-encompassing industry expertise.
With Brown Harris Stevens, the leader in luxury NYC real estate as her chosen brokerage, Liz also utilizes the firm’s industry-leading marketing and tech teams as well as its legendary leadership to benefit her clients.
Liz moved to Darien with her husband, attorney Ned Lewis and their daughters Katharine and Caroline, in 1999. “The best decision we ever made when moving east from Chicago was to settle in Darien,” she says. “We love this community and it has loved us back. My girls received a world-class education through the public school system and attended elite universities as a result.”
“Positioned in the center of the Gold Coast with a stunning waterfront and a vibrant and growing downtown—and a school system that consistently ranks among the top in CT—Darien is a destination for sophisticated buyers looking to invest wisely and live well,” Liz says.

We can't say enough great things about Liz, who worked tirelessly to make sure we found the right home for our family. She provided a steady hand throughout, demonstrating an expert-level understanding of the entire home buying process at every turn. What's more, her interpersonal skills provided a perfect complement to her expert knowledge. We found her authoritative without being pushy; patient yet firm and aggressive when needed (especially for the right opportunity!); focused and business-like yet light-hearted and fun. Not only did we find the right house, but we also enjoyed the home buying process, as well as each other's company, immensely. We highly recommend Liz to help you find your dream home. – Chris G.Liz Bacon is an exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced, and professional real estate agent. When I was selling my house, she provided clear, substantive, and grounded assessments of the market; useful feedback from prospective buyers; and thoughtful insight that aided my thinking as the process evolved. Liz was particularly effective in balancing multiple priorities I had; keeping lines of communication open with prospective buyers; and managing the multitude of tasks needed to promote, sell, and successfully close the sale. My respect and confidence in her work was fulfilled in each step of the process. It was also a great pleasure to work with Liz. – Clifford H.Liz was wonderful to work with. She was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. It was clear she cared a lot about our concerns and went above and beyond to address them. She's a gem! – Ross S.I would definitely recommend Liz to others. From the moment we first met her, we knew we were in good hands. She is professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and intuitive about our needs and the local market. If you work with Liz, you will not be disappointed with the service she provides. – Deirdre S.Liz is a first-rate realtor: honest, dependable, and knows her markets thoroughly. – Douglas & Gwynne C.“We can’t thank you enough for all of your help with buying our first home. All our friends who recently bought homes complained about how difficult the process is – with you, it could not have been easier. We so appreciated your guidance. Your knowledge of the area was invaluable. We couldn’t have done it without you!” – M & T DavisonPress Mentions
