Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Benjamin earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Point Park University, majoring in Musical Theater. He acted professionally for many years, with extensive appearances in television, commercials, print, Off-Broadway, and tours.
Benjamin resides in Harlem, where he specializes and has lived for 17 years. In his spare time, he loves to see theater, watch basketball, and play with his two daughters, Josephine, and Ada.
