"Lincoln Center has truly transformed the Upper West Side into a cultural hub... Many of my clients are passionate patrons of the arts and are drawn to the area because they want to be part of a thriving artistic community.” - Kimberly T. Hastie, Brown Harris Stevens Agent

As fall ushers in cooler temperatures, the cultural heartbeat of New York City is alive with Lincoln Center's dazzling 2024 season. This year promises to captivate with an eclectic mix of performances, from opera to ballet, to live orchestral film screenings. For those lucky enough to live near Lincoln Center, it’s an opportunity to experience the best of the arts right in their own backyard.

The Metropolitan Opera's production of Grounded, a new work by Jeanine Tesori, is a must-see, according to longtime Lincoln Center patron and supporter Kimberly Hastie.

"I was able to see the Met Opera’s production of Grounded on opening night... the female fighter pilot’s story told through opera was a compelling and unique experience ... I’m also highly anticipating the New York Philharmonic’s live orchestral screening of JAWS. If you haven’t experienced watching a great movie with a live orchestra performing, it’s simply sensational. There’s really nothing like it.” - Kimberly T. Hastie

For ballet enthusiasts, this season’s New York City Ballet performances include a wide array of both classical and contemporary pieces. From George Balanchine’s beloved Coppélia to Justin Peck’s Everywhere We Go, set to the music of Sufjan Stevens, there’s something for every dance aficionado.

“Dance combines many art forms—music, set design, fashion, and choreography, creating a multi-sensory experience. The NYC Ballet always introduces us to something fresh, like the upcoming celebration of female choreographers.” - Margaret Monsor, Brown Harris Stevens Agent

Monsor also noted the winter season will showcase Alexei Ratmansky's acclaimed Solitude and a world premiere in February. The spring season is set to enchant with an All-Ravel program, offering timeless choreography set to the compositions of Maurice Ravel.

“There is always so much to look forward to after the gold curtains rise. Who will be the new rising star? Which pairing of favorite dancers will make the familiar steps come alive?” - Margaret Monsor

With each performance, the neighborhood pulses with creativity, making it an exciting time to live—or simply visit—the cultural heart of New York City.
