Brown Harris Stevens Agent and former Landscape Architect George Vellonakis has overseen the redesigns of some of Manhattan's most popular parks, including Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, City Hall Park, and Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village. Along with memorable aesthetic appeal, two common motifs in Vellonakis' work are greenery and accessibility. Washington Square Park, for example, was mainly concrete throughout the 60s and 70s, before he stepped in and achieved a design inspired by the Romantic Era, complete with rolling hills, curving paths, and vintage-style lampposts.
