In Manhattan, the 10 best-selling new developments by contracts signed made up 27 percent of all contracts signed in 2024 and 37 percent of sales volume based on contracts signed by last asking price, according to Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing’s Year-End New Development Analysis of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Two of Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing's projects made the lists -- 155 West 68th Street had 59 contracts signed in 2024, placing third by buildings which include conversion projects. The Treadwell placed sixth on the list of highest demand for ground-up new construction in Manhattan based on contracts signed.

Brooklyn in 2024

In Brooklyn, the 10 best-selling new developments by contracts signed made up 34 percent of all contracts signed in 2024 and 43 percent of sales volume based on contracts signed by last asking price, according to the same analysis.

“Both boroughs experienced significant increases in new development sales over 2023 led by these top selling buildings which prove that high quality, properly amenitized well-designed properties are always in high demand and can attain record sales regardless of interest rates and resale market conditions,” said Stephen Kliegerman, president, BHSDM.
