Happy Holidays! This is such a great time to find treats for those you treasure—especially children! With so many choices on the market, it can be hard to narrow down what to choose. The best way to solve that problem may be to shop locally! You will save yourself computer time and have a blast, while avoiding any unwanted shipping snafus. Local shop owners are great at helping you make choices too, knowing what is most popular for kids based on their age and interests. Having raised my daughter on Manhattan's Upper East Side and joyfully shopped for lots of presents, I've compiled a guide to my favorite spots in the area for children, tweens, and teens. Aside from a rich selection of toys, books, and more, each of the stores provides an experience as valuable as the gifts themselves.
