The recent Maui wildfires have had a devastating impact, claiming the lives of more than 90 people and displacing hundreds more from their homes. The scale of this tragedy is immense and has touched members of our own Brown Harris Stevens family as well.
BHS has gathered together a list of resources to help the fire victims across Maui. These organizations are tirelessly working on the ground to provide aid and relief:
Hawaii Community Foundation Maui Strong Fund
This fund is focusing on rapid response and collaborating with local nonprofits to address the urgent needs of the community.
Maui Food Bank
Your donations will help collect and distribute food to alleviate hunger in Maui County.
Maui United Way
This organization is providing direct relief to families and nonprofits affected by the wildfires.
The Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division
By contributing to them, you'll be supporting the provision of food and resources for evacuees.
Public Schools of Hawaii Foundation
They are partnering with the state Department of Education to support school communities in West Maui through Oct. 1.
Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement
Your donations will be matched up to $1.5 million, amplifying the impact of your contribution for Maui fire victims.
Maui Humane Society
The society is dedicated to supporting shelters for displaced people and animals, as well as caring for injured animals.
World Central Kitchen
Through partnerships with local organizations, they are providing meals to those in need.
