As I listen to so many lament about cancelled flights or traffic jams on their way to the Cape or The Hamptons, I think; Summer is so wonderful at home! Seriously, Greenwich, Connecticut is a fabulous community with outstanding town amenities. I prefer to travel in the winter and take advantage of all that Greenwich offers during the summer season.
When posting on social media, I'll often use hashtags like #lovewhereyoulive or #luckytolivehere; and it is true. Just in the past week, I have watched town fireworks, gotten out on my paddle board, played pickleball, walked at the beach, sat on the beach, met my bookclub at the beach, and recently attended one of the free summer concerts at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.
If you’re looking for arts and culture, the Greenwich library regularly hosts guest speakers on literature, art, and authors-- many of whom frequent best-seller lists. Another can't-miss community hotspot is the Bruce Museum, which features a rotating selection of wonderful exhibits, as well as outdoor arts and crafts festivals.
I haven’t even mentioned other regular events like Sunday Polo matches, outdoor movie nights, sailing lessons, Bird walks, and sidewalk sales-- the list goes on!
