La Cueva Fonda Mexicana (The Bronx)
Easily one of the best spots for authentic Mexican food in The Bronx, La Cueva was recommended by BHS Creative Director Dan Mozeika. It is owned by Adhali Niño-Ilescas, a native of Mexico. From familiar dishes like tacos and enchiladas to novelty fare, authenticity is the foundation for La Cueva's extensive menu.
Chocobar Cortés (The Bronx)
Chocobar Cortés is a family-run chocolate confectionary that has been creating Puerto Rican and Dominican chocolate treats since 1929. Along with a full dessert and food menu, the restaurant offers an extensive selection of cocktails that incorporate Chocobar's signature chocolate creations.

Pabade Bakery (East Harlem)
This family-owned business, based in East Harlem, is popular for its warm and welcoming ambiance. The bakery produces delicious pastries and exclusively sells La Colombe coffee. "I love this little shop," said Leanne Stella. "Sometimes, on the way back from our East Harlem listings, I'll stop for a special coffee and a delicious pastry or sandwich."

Juliette Floral Design (Park Slope)
Katty Simbana, a native of Ecuador, moved to NYC at the tender age of 14 with the dream of opening her own flower shop. After working with master designers, she opened Juliette in 2021 and continues to wow clients with her work.

The Grandpa Farm "Rancho Abuelito" (Manhattan and the Bronx)
This recurring Farmers Market was recommended by Keith Marder for its fresh, locally sourced produce. The farm, based in Port Chester, is overseen by a family from Puebla, Mexico. The family currently runs seven markets throughout The Bronx and Manhattan, allowing for ease of access to their products for locals and visitors alike.
