In 2019, Ciarán McGuigan, creative director of the Irish furniture company Orior, and his wife, Logann, embarked on a renovation of their 1930s Brooklyn loft in Clinton Hill. Their goal was to blend the loft's industrial heritage with contemporary design elements.

The renovation preserved original features such as arched windows and exposed brick walls, while adding modern touches like chrome accents and textured velvets. The couple also curated artwork to enhance the apartment's aesthetic.

“We wanted to do a renovation that would bring back some of the old character, [including] the walls and the beautiful open ceilings with the original skylights. It has all of the characteristics you’d want in a New York loft,” McGuigan told Mansion Global’s Rebuilds & Renos column.

Refurbishing the high ceilings and exposed wooden beams was a significant challenge but resulted in a striking transformation. The living room, with its open flow into the kitchen, became a centerpiece for hosting and reflects the couple's combined aesthetic.

Although they intended to make this their family home, plans changed, and the property is now listed for $1.875 million with Kelsey Hall. The McGuigans are open to selling furnishings with the home, offering potential buyers a fully realized design experience.
