Brown Harris Stevens is a proud partner of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF), which works to eradicate cancer by funding collaborative, cross-institutional research to identify and correct genetic markers for the disease. To date, the organization has raised over $100 million in cancer research.
This summer, BHS agents will be taking part in the foundation's 'Step Up to Turn Cancer Off' six-day virtual "walk," hosted by Charity Footprints. The marathon kicks off with the Hamptons Happening event on June 9. Our agents will log their progress through their phone or FitBit while they engage in their favorite physical activities.
Additionally, this year's Hamptons Happening will honor three notable individuals who have made efforts to help its cause.
Among the honorees is BHS CEO Bess Freedman, who will accept the SWCRF's Distinguished Business Leader Award. Freedman is a longtime supporter of the fight to end cancer.
