Eugene Cordano, the President of Brown Harris Stevens’ New Jersey brokerage, has been recognized as a Realtor® of the Year by the New Jersey Association of Realtors®. Eugene – better known as Gene - has been within the Brown Harris Stevens family of companies for more than 25 years and has helped to grow BHS into one of the top firms in the Garden State.

The Realtor® of the Year award celebrates those who have contributed the most to the advancement of his/her community and the cause of Realtors®. In addition, these individuals have exemplified significant involvement in humanitarian services. Gene was recognized as part of the Liberty Board of Realtors® where he serves on the Board of Directors.

“After being in this business for more than three decades, I am very proud and humbled to receive this designation. With so much change happening now in the industry, I am thankful to my incredible agents, staff, and BHS colleagues who help to make this award even more special,” said Gene.

Gene comes from a family of builders and developers and credits his father with giving him one valuable piece of advice he’s carried throughout his career: look at each project from a variety of angles.

BHS CEO Bess Freedman echoed what many of Gene’s own agents feel about him.

“Gene is a true real estate success story. He built his own career through hard work and hustle, and now he’s giving back by helping agents at various stages in their own careers. We are fortunate to have him as part of the BHS family.” - Bess Freedman
