March 1 marks the start of Women's History Month, and in celebration of International Women's Day, we asked several of our agents what this commemorative month means to them. In a video compilation, they shared reflections, stories, and even trailblazing female figures who have inspired their success. Here are some of their responses:

"Women's History Month is a celebration of women's contributions to history, culture, and society." --- Candice Milano

Candice Milano

"It's super important to my partner Malessa [Rambarran] and I to give back, and the way we've done that is by founding an organization called Towre, which stands for the Organization by Women in Real Estate. Though this platform, we educate and empower women on how to build wealth through real estate... we can contribute back to women and our society..."

Leanne Stella

"In the 1960's [my mom] started a business while also raising 7 children. She started a business on our dining room table and it grew to be the largest antique show production company on the east coast."

Chelsea Silvernell

"To me, Women's History Month is an opportunity to tell stories about women that may have been unheard in the past. I find it's really significant to share stories about less-known people that also were groundbreaking..."

Karen Gastiaburo

"Women's history month means so many things... I've had so many women in my life be mentors to me. There's clearly more opportunity... I used to see [real estate] as somewhat of a male dominated industry, and yet there were women in the industry making headway... "

Maria-Stella Foutoulakis

"The first place my mind goes is my mother, of course. She came from a very small village in the southern coast of Crete... and accomplished quite a bit. With the courage alone, to wish and dream for a better future for us, created a small business in Rhode Island... She showed me what it meant to work hard... "

Laurie Meyer

"My mother was a U.S. Navy wave in World World II. I think of that whole generation and their bravery to just go out and serve their country... my mother raised 6 children... and was actually a real estate agent for a while. So, I followed in her footsteps to some degree."

Joanne Greene

"I thought back to my first job interview... I went to a commercial real estate firm and the older gentleman said to me 'this is for men, you should go to residential real estate', so I think back on how proud I am of how far women have come.
