Chris Halstead joins the executive team of Brown Harris Stevens Connecticut after a long and successful career as an agent. As Senior Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Sales, he works across the six Fairfield County offices supporting Brown Harris Stevens agents and managers, as well as focusing on region's long-term business development strategy and growth.
As the nephew of Halstead Real Estate founder Clark Halstead, possessing knowledge of and passion for real estate came naturally to Chris. Following an initial career track in account management for a leading global advertising agency, Chris transitioned to real estate in 2009, opting to carry the torch and continuing to build upon the family legacy.
In 2020, Halstead merged under the banner of luxury powerhouse brokerage Brown Harris Stevens. Under the new flag, Chris quickly adapted and leveraged the extraordinary resources the Brown Harris Stevens name afforded him, rising to be one of the combined company's top 5% agents.
With strong roots in Connecticut, Chris is thrilled to grow his management career where he calls home. Chris and his family reside in Southport, CT and his wife is a successful local business owner in Fairfield, CT. They are active in their community, and spend most of their free time with their two young children.
Chris grew up in Westport, having graduated from the local high school. His parents still reside in town. He is an alumnus of Emory University in Atlanta where has was captain of the Men's Varsity Swim Team, and named a multi-time NCAA All American, and National Champion.
