Vince Mauro is a Brown Harris Stevens Associate Broker specializing in the sale of luxury townhouses, cooperatives, condominiums, and lofts. He joined BHS after ten years with William B. May where he was a Director of Marketing, and a Top Ten Producing Broker.
After attending college and the Graduate School of the University of Notre Dame, he became a professional singer, recording for Decca & Capitol Records. His keen interest in writing, arranging and record production led him to a very successful career as a manager/producer, guiding and producing records for artists as diverse as Peter Frampton, The Bongos, Peter Allen, Morgana King and Stan Getz. He sold his management company in 1993 and after a brief hiatus turned what had been a real estate passion and avocation into a second career. This was a natural course of events as he had managed his family owned apartment house for years, and bought and sold property for himself and friends.
Vince has sold an impressive number of townhouses and apartments in all parts of the city, and is known as a creative thinker with innovative marketing skills. Throughout the many real estate cycles he has provided buyers, sellers and renters with expect guidance recognizing new areas of opportunity before they become trends. He has served on the boards and committees of a prestigious prewar Fifth Avenue Cooperative, as well as a Fifth Avenue Condominium, affording him direct knowledge of the board approval process in both types of ownership. Though he takes the buying and selling process very seriously his laid back nature lessens everyone’s stress making the experience successful, exciting, and fun.
